If the weather is not too bad, you might also choose to explore the Ross Tiger, a preserved Grimsby fishing trawler, thought to be the oldest of its kind in the UK. There is a charge for entry into the museum but entry to the two art galleries is free and there are usually some interesting displays to wander around. The Fishing Heritage Centre includes a nice cafe so you could while away two or three hours exploring here.

A short walk from the Fishing Heritage Centre is Grimsby Town Hall and the Time Trap museum where the old Police cells and prisoner exercise area have been transformed into a museum that traces the towns history. Again, there is a small charge for entry.
